Wee Builders is a classroom-based toddler program focusing on developing speech-language, social communication, and play skills with peers. Our unique and highly specialized curriculum is intended for 2 year olds with emerging verbal communication, and is grounded in current evidence based practices for facilitation of speech-language, social communication, and play development. Therapy techniques are also consistent with It Takes Two to Talk (Hanen) and the SCERTS model (Prizant, Wetherby, Rubin, & Laurent) as appropriate to the individual children in the group.
Units are theme-based and designed to facilitate skill development throughout all activities. Our daily schedule includes typical early preschool activities such as circle time, free-play/center time, snack, art/sensory play, structured small group activities, and gross motor play on our indoor playground.
Each class is led by a certified speech-language pathologist and supported by graduate students in speech-language pathology from the UTD-Callier Center. Class size is limited to 4 children.
